Approximation Resistance by Disguising Biased Distributions

چکیده
In this short note, the author shows that the gap problem of some folded 3-XOR is NP-hard and can be solved by an algorithm that assigns value to each variable by the numbers of 1 and −1 in its long code. To conclude, the author proves that P = NP .

Some Asymptotic Results of Kernel Density Estimator in Length-Biased Sampling
In this paper, we prove the strong uniform consistency and asymptotic normality of the kernel density estimator proposed by Jones [12] for length-biased data. The approach is based on the invariance principle for the empirical processes proved by Horváth [10]. All simulations are drawn for different cases to demonstrate both, consistency and asymptotic normality and the method is illustrated by ...
متن کاملTransformations of Biased Distributions
Most approaches to reducing (or eliminating) the use of randomness in probabilistic algorithms can be viewed as attempts to replace the probability space from which the algorithm samples by a much smaller one. The use of limited independence among the random choices of the algorithm has long been used as a technique for constructing small spaces that \approximate" the exponential-sized spaces r...
متن کاملA continuous approximation fitting to the discrete distributions using ODE
The probability density functions fitting to the discrete probability functions has always been needed, and very important. This paper is fitting the continuous curves which are probability density functions to the binomial probability functions, negative binomial geometrics, poisson and hypergeometric. The main key in these fittings is the use of the derivative concept and common differential ...
متن کاملA weak approximation for the Extrema's distributions of Levy processes
Suppose that $X_{t}$ is a one-dimensional and real-valued L'evy process started from $X_0=0$, which ({bf 1}) its nonnegative jumps measure $nu$ satisfying $int_{Bbb R}min{1,x^2}nu(dx)
متن کاملInequalities and Approximations of Weighted Distributions by Lindley Reliability Measures, and the Lindley-Cox Model with Applications
In this note, stochastic comparisons and results for weighted and Lindley models are presented. Approximation of weighted distributions via Lindley distribution in the class of increasing failure rate (IFR) and decreasing failure rate (DFR) weighted distributions with monotone weight functions are obtained including approximations via the length-biased Lindley distribution. Some useful bounds a...
